I worked in the Providence St. Peter business office. On the day of the quake I came to work as usual. After just a short time I began to feel odd. I couldn’t put my finger on it but knew I had to go home. I credited it towards a surgery I was going to have in a couple of weeks and figured I was about to feel ill again. My supervisor ok’d me to go home and I left to drive to my home in Yelm. The drive home was uneventful and I was focusing on getting home and possibly napping to avert feeling bad. When I reached my home off of Bald Hills Road the phone was ringing. It was my Mother calling from Massachusetts telling me there had been an earthquake and was I ok. I had not felt it while in the car. I checked the property for damage and there was some minor damage to the well house.

When I returned to work the next day I found out that a file cabinet had fallen over right next to my desk and would have hit me if I had been there! I credit my knowingness for telling me to go home that day.
